Ecosign Collaboration: Creative Ideas for Improved Flood Preparedness

During the past winter semester, HKC worked together with students from the ecosign Academy for Sustainable Design on the project “Land Under Water – Climate Adaptation Right at Our Doorstep”, developing innovative concepts to improve risk communication. Working in small groups, the students intensively explored how people can be made more aware of and engaged in flood preparedness.

Infomobile Dates in February 2026

In February, our infomobile will be on site at several events focusing on flood protection, heavy rainfall, and climate resilience:

€500 Million for Flood Protection and Climate Adaptation

The Emschergenossenschaft and Lippeverband (EGLV) have secured €500 million in financing from the European Investment Bank to support flood protection and climate adaptation measures in the Emscher-Lippe region.

New: Our Sachkundigen consultation hour

As supporting our experts is very important to us, we would like to expand this service in the new year. From January 2026, we will therefore be offering a new expert consultation hour for all active experts. The consultation hour will take place once a month, on the third Monday of each month, digitally from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It will be held in an open format, so prior registration is not required.
