Further development of FLOODLABEL
for the Port of Hamburg Polder Community
HPA Polder Hamburg GmbH pursues the goal of strengthening private flood protection in the Port of Hamburg and thus making a contribution to securing Hamburg as a port location.
On 17 October 2023, HPA Polder Hamburg GmbH signed a cooperation agreement with HKC e.V.
We look forward to working together!
The FLOODLABEL is being further developed by HKC e.V. on behalf of HPA Polder Hamburg GmbH and adapted to the needs of polder and harbour users. The aim is to provide further assistance for self-preparedness in the event of extreme precipitation events in the harbour. The flood passport is intended to sensitise property owners to the dangers of storm surges and heavy rainfall and provide them with recommendations for their own precautions. It also promotes understanding of the exposure of properties and the work of HPA Polder Hamburg GmbH.
Our tasks are:
- The storm surge hazard is integrated into the FLOODLABEL. An image containing logo, symbol, font, graphicsAutomatically generated description (Development of evaluation matrix for storm surge and creation of catalogue of measures and behaviour)
- Natural hazard insurance is included in the FLOODLABEL (Concept for the presentation and evaluation of natural hazard insurance)
- Generation of new FLOODLABEL document (development of new presentation form and design)
- Creation of a FLOODLABEL property annex (Content expansion of the storm surge risk and natural hazard insurance)
