DWA Conference: Communication in heavy rain and flood risk management

On 10 October 2024, the DWA is organising a conference on the topic of "Communication in heavy rain and flood risk management - experiences and requirements
of different stakeholders" in Münster.
Ten years after the extreme rainfall in Münster in 2014, we take stock: What has changed since then and how important is communication in heavy rain and flood management? Stakeholders from Germany and the Netherlands will discuss crisis communication, legal principles, heavy rain hazard maps and the use of digitalisation and AI in heavy rain risk management.
The event is aimed at experts from municipalities, water boards, authorities and engineering firms. Participation fees: € 290 for DWA members, € 330 for non-members. Venue: Factory Hotel, Münster.
HKC Managing Director Georg Johann will moderate a panel discussion on the topic "Heavy rain hazard map: created - published - ready?
