News: KAHR project: Children's booklet - Children learn about flood prevention in a playful way
21. Jun 2023
We are pleased to present the children's booklet that was developed within the project KAHR, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF): With the aim of promoting risk awareness and early creative interaction with possible solutions, we want to teach children in a playful way the way from hazard recognition to holistic flood prevention.
Education is the first step in making children aware of potential risks and preparing them to respond appropriately. Our new children's booklet gives children the opportunity to explore the world of flood preparedness with the help of an engaging story. Through the use of playful elements and child-friendly language, young readers are taken on an exciting journey. They not only learn about the various aspects of hazard identification, but also gain insights into holistic flood prevention measures.
Our aim here is not only to teach children the importance of risk assessment, but also to show them ways in which they can actively contribute to making the community aware of possible flood hazards and take preventive measures together.
The booklet will soon be available at the Infomobiles.
You can already download the digital version for home use as well as additional material for children in our download section (GERMAN).
