News: Jutta Lenz at the annual event of the AöW

27. Apr 2023

The annual event of the Alliance of Public Water Management e.V. on April 27 was dedicated to the question of how the known challenges and strategy for a sustainable climate-adapted water management can be implemented: The relevance of adapted framework conditions as well as the formation and strengthening of intersectional actor networks was emphasized here under the motto "Think across the board and act locally". Our managing director Jutta Lenz accompained the event with an exciting presentation on the relevance of self-provisioning in the protection against floods and heavy rain.

Climate change has an impact on water bodies and water as a resource. Conflicts of objectives and use are becoming increasingly apparent, which are caused and intensified by anthropogenic activities. In this context, the past years have shown the emerging challenges and strategies and solutions have been developed. It remains to smooth the way for integrative implementation.

At this year's annual event of the alliance will therefore be thematized, will strengthening Aktuers networks formed for an intersectional and spatial strengthening can serve. For this purpose, our executive director Jutta Lenz will present the concept and the principle of HKC e.V.:

Self-provision is essential in the protection against floods and heavy rain - our goal is a self-provision that builds on a network of know-how carriers, political actors and citizens.
