The University of Potsdam has launched a household survey following the last floods in Germany in 2023 and 2024. Analyses of the collected data will be used in anonymised form in the project ‘Innovative instruments for the management of urban heavy rainfall events’ (Inno_MAUS) and for publications in scientific journals.
It takes about 30-40 minutes to complete the questionnaire. Participation in the survey is of course voluntary and can be cancelled at any time. The questionnaire contains questions on the topics of (a) warning, (b) strength of the flood and extent of the damage as well as (c) characteristics of the home and precautionary measures to better categorise the damage caused. As those affected were not only affected by the physical damage, we would also like to ask you about (d) the mental and health effects of the flood. If you do not wish to complete a question, please continue with the questionnaire anyway. You can use the ‘No response’ option at any time.
