On 25 April , the H-KAT network meeting was held on the key topic of "Flood management at the Steinbach dam".
The programme consisted of an excursion to the dam and a presentation on its role during the 2021 floods, background information and problem-solving approaches by Tobias de Koeijer from THW. The H-KAT-NET is the regional disaster control network for coping with major floods and heavy rainfall events and was initiated by the THW of the Sinzig and Euskirchen local association, the KAHR project, the Ahrweiler district administration and the RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau.
